ARRIVAL TIMES + WHAT TO WEAR
COMPANY MEMBERS
Arrival: 1:00 PM
Attire: Company warm-up attire only
Hair in a bun and full performance makeup required
No extra clothing should be brought in.
FUTURE STARS
Arrival: 2:00 PM
Attire: Ballet costume, slip-on street shoes (no dance shoes)
Bring something simple to throw on during their long break before their second (final) dance.
Hair must be in a neat bun, and full stage makeup is required.
No extra clothing allowed in the dressing room.
ALL OTHER STARS + RECREATIONAL DANCERS
Arrival: 1:30 PM
Attire: Recital tights, sundress, and slip-on street shoes (no dance shoes)
Hair in a bun, full performance makeup, and no extra clothing permitted.
CHECK-IN PROCESS
Upon arrival, please check in at the table near the theater entrance.
Only one adult representative (18+) may check the dancer in or out.
A staff member will escort dancers to their designated areas.
Please make sure everything your dancer brings — costumes, shoes, tights, bags, accessories — is labeled with their name.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Do NOT bring jewelry of any kind — it is not needed and should be left at home.
Chicago Contemporary Dance Theatre is NOT responsible for any lost or stolen items, including:
Costumes
Shoes, tights, accessories
Bags, coats, electronics, or other personal belongings
If your child brings a cell phone, tablet, or electronic device, it is at your own risk.
Absolutely NO photo or video use is allowed in dressing rooms. Dancers are constantly changing.
If a dancer is seen using any device for video or photos, the item will be confiscated and held until the end of the recital.
PROGRAMS & ROSES
A limited number of printed programs will be available for purchase at the venue ($15).
Most programs will be digital and accessed via QR code — bring your phone!
We have about 8 bundles of 3-stem roses available for purchase ($20 each) — great for celebrating your dancer after the show!

Dancers will receive 2 free recital tickets per recital fee.
Parents will receive 2 codes for the ticketing site.

Picture Day

No payment will be due at the time of photo shoot.
The link to purchase digital photos will go live after the session.
All photos will be available online for purchase.
This is an exciting and very busy day for your dancer and our staff. We will need to focus on your dancer to ensure that we get the best pic! We need your help. Please leave any additional family and/or friends at home. There will be no room to accommodate additional people and we want to limit distractions.
WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU LABEL EACH COSTUME PIECE!!!!
Please bring all costumes even if your child will not be purchasing an individual picture, we would love for them to be in the class picture for memories.
Please make sure hair is neat. (Bun should be in the back and middle part of head)
If your child is wearing make-up please make sure that is applied prior to arrival.
Please bring all necessary shoes for your costumes and remove all toe and nail polish.
DO NOT WEAR costumes nor any recital shoes to the studio. You must change in the studio. You may wear your tights.
LEAVE ALL JEWELRY, GOLD HOOP EARRING, DIAMOND STUDS, RUBY’S, PEARLS, YOUR GRANDMOTHERS WEDDING RING, ETC… AT HOME YOU DO NOT NEED THEM FOR PICTURE DAY!!
CELL PHONES USAGE, PICTURE TAKING, VIDEOING and any other recordings will not be allowed in the studio and changing area.
FYI: PARENTS YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING YOUR CHILD DRESSED OF PICTURE DAY! YOU WILL BE WITH YOUR CHILD THE ENTIRE DAY!
